I'm still not certain I get the difference between SVC and TLC.
If SVC is the volume you can inhale after a full exhalation, and TLC is Total Lung Capacity, then it must be that:
TLC = SVC + RESIDUAL VOLUME
..where Residual Volume is the air left in the lungs after the
"full" exhalation, in other words,
RESIDUAL VOLUME = TLC - SVC
Right ? So it must be that Residual Volume is estimated with
some formula or other, right ?
I used to know this stuff cold ! Is this more or less right ?
