Spearfishing is officially illegal in Aruba, but that doesn’t stop the locals from doing it. I was informed that if the police were to see you with a speargun they would confiscate it. Funny enough they sell JBL's in San Nicholas..among other things.....

The area out and around Serole Colorado, on the other side of the Refinery, has nice beach diving. There are some operators in an around Oranjestad that can take you out to a real nice wreak, a German freighter from WW2. Great pene. dive.
