Nocturnal:

Nightfall obviates crustacean taciturness, usually revealing new animal life.

Batray, El Niņo is starting up again, will that cool the waters where you dive?

Mishu - once you get started it's alot of fun.

Night dives are definitely interesting. We did on in Hawaii as well (it was also for my AOW cert) but we were MUCH more interested in the Manta Rays... There were at least a dozen of them... REALLY cool

The funny thing about the whole situation was the tacituness of the DM, especially when I managed to loose my camera (it slipped off my wrist at some point ) with some brilliant pictures and is probably on a beach in Guam or in the Polynesian Islands by now.....

Theoretically, A Camera Is Technically Useless, Necessitating Expediently Superfluous Spending.

For our December trip, I just got a Treble-Light MX-6 (20 W HLX)for the boss and an ILC (German-made also 20W HLX) light for myself for our night dives. We will also have a Vega2 as a backup and a small 4-AA cell light as double-backup.

I did drop Island Sands a PM re: Maldives and told her where we are going. She was somewhat less than .... uh ..... shall we say "enthusiatic" about the hotel. Said that the diving was great but "the bungalows are cheap and nasty" Oh well, we already had the tickets booked and, well, a shi$%y day diving beats a wonderful day working. Besides, I don't think we will be spending all that much time in the room anyway.....
