4. Little to no life. I don't mind critters on land, I'd like to just be alone in the water without being distracted or cautious of possible dangers. I deal with jellyfish/sharks or snakes/snapping turtles here in Texas.
nothing dangerous about madagascar.. there are whale sharks and other large fish but no great whites and no reports of dangerous sharks.
the comores is very interesting. our hotel group built a resort there some years back and the dive reports were fantastic.
they had some political unrest a while back but that's all over now.
tourism is opening up again.
Interestingly enough, the comores have fisherman who specifically hunt the elusive coelecanth, they get a good price for it, paid by scientific researchers.
