It's about laying down at the bottom to ambush a fish that may come in front of you within shooting range. Often the fish will sense you going down while you won't see it. Most fish are shy but curious and will likely come check out what sank from the surface so it is a waiting game. As you wait silent at the bottom you spend little energy which allows to extend your stay there. As a fish approaches from the front adjust your aim slowly.
