Rotto is Rottenest Island, One big limestone rock about 13km of Perth
Its our local playground, lots of crayfish good scuba diving excellent free diving, Good Surf too
You can even spear a feed of fish if you know where to go.
This was summertime 2 years ago, Air temp about 34C water about 24c
Can get up to 30m - 40m vis but its open to the weather so its at its best in summer.
The only bad thing with the place is the amount of boats on the water with knob heads driving them who dont know what a dive flag looks like.
Dont know the amount of times i have watched the twin screws of a 35foot+
launch go over head.
Can get a bit hairy when freediving.
Summer time is just about appon us a few more weeks of crappy weather and we will be over there again.
Wont be long before the young fella gets his first hand spear, just have to teach him that his little sister isnt a target.
