I cant believe they have gone, Colin was my best freind, we went through university together, Alison I met last year for the first time. They were the happiest people I knew, every encounter with either of them was hysterical, everybody who met them loved them. I remember those very boring lectures when everybody was falling asleep including the lecturer, Colin would always be there to come to the rescue with some question from hell that would have everybody including the lecturer on their hands and knees, or the time he cut the end of his finger off, even in great pain he turned up to a computer lab for an artificial intelligence module about chatbots, he had the whole lab in fits with his interaction with this thing with his comments about him cutting it off and loosing some weight, well I think you had to be there. Alison was so funny too, she would light up a room when she walked in, always smiling, always very smartly dressed with the whitest teeth I have ever seen. She was also an incredible spearfisher, always managed to catch something even when the rest of us couldnt see the ends of our guns. Everybody who went to see them always remarked on their hospitalty, their huge bbq's that would appear out of nowhere along with large quantities of home made wine, some of which was actually drinkable
I was proud to be their freind, and I shall always miss them
