Hazarding a guess.........was it on the wreck of the "Pioneer"?
The wreck of the "Septer" is also close by and is also in very shallow water. BOTH these spots are notorius for their healthy population of GWS.
Thats why we have a simple rule, anything under 6m viz. and we don't dive those two wrecks. Bloody scarry see-ing a GWS in DIRTY water!! Glad to see everything turned out fine!!
