Anyway i have no idea about it but just 2 cents info;
old spearo here (diving over 30 years) he caries salty ayran(drink made of yogurt and water) in his torpido while hunting
when he needs water to drink he drinks it
he says that how true i don't know and i don't wanna discuss
ayran: drops Pulse ratio and helps blood circulation (his idea)
his PB 6:00-7:00 min he makes ambush 3:00-3:30(around -20m) and diving --40-50m summer time
i know about salt only too much gives eyes problem early (cataract) when we get old...
