Wink Re: Sharks in QATAR, Identifying needed please!!

Check out this bad boy that i saw on the Burma banks 2 weeks ago, 5 meters and fast.

Sanadw - After taking a roasting from a user on here about a previous comment it is great to see someone that is under the same impression as i am, people shoot all kinds of fish everyday of the week, but as soon as I mention shark and speargun in the same sentance its all hisses and boos. Wake up people we are all spear fishermen and we all enjoy the sport as well as the meals. I have enough money to put food on the table but i enjoy the sport and the challange, but I always eat what I shoot, however ifIi shoot a big shark it will be as a trophy not a meal, that is me being honest. When we see 150kg marlin being shot do these people think that it is going on the table, I doubt it very much. I really want to shoot a big shark and if you are serious about doing this I would like to fly out there and join you, if I may?

Amphibious - One reason that i may not shoot a shark is the excact one you mention in your post, you have shot big sharks in the past and can you really say they are poor fighters? It would make sence because whenever I have caught them on rod and line they don't fight as well as a tuna of the same wieght. A 100kg bluefin puts up a much bigger fight than a 100kg Bullshark. I have thought about this many times and it is the only reason i can see not to shoot one. Could you describe what it was like, the catch in detail, of a big shark? I would like to hear a non biassed opinion from someone that has already done what I am planning to do. You must have been in the same situation as I am now, planning, hoping, imagining.
Thanx in Advance
