Well, i just got gabbiano snake 110 with doble 16mm bands. First let me say,
i used carbon T20 ocean mimetic. It will not be as good balanced as others and will not shoot very good with double 18mm bands. Not even with double 16mm bands. The trigger will be harder to pull too coz of the heavy load of rubbers.
I saw and inspected X-fire it looks verygood for single band use. Very precise and crispy trigger but too slim and light for double band use. So T20 and X-fire is out for double band use.
Now before i bought the snake 110 i inspected cayman HF in the store. It looks good but not as heavy as gabbiano (heavier mass is ver important when shooting with double bands) and the handle did not fit my handle ver well... it was not as wide as gabbiano snake too..and more expensive.
I only tried gabbiano snake once. It is extremly well balanced gun, just like wooden gun. It moves perfectly due to its hydrodynamic shape. Trigger is very sensitive not matter single or double band load. One other great feature is you have a clean line of sight for aim when double bands are loaded unlike many other models. The holes on the muzzle have different leverage and rubber does not get lag on each other so you have a perfect sight for aiming and it also helps for manuverability. Its heavy and well balanced but the handle is very slim, i used to comfy anatomic handles on my wooden guns. They help a lot to hold the gun steady to absorb the recoil in a proper manner. But in this gun its a bit hard to control the recoil on the handle, it kicks backwards. Although the gun shoot accurately most of the time i don't like the feel of recoil. Because of light weight 6.5mm shaft, the shoot will not be very effective at the end of the line. If you are hunting fast moving fishes of med sea the speed will be issue after 3.5-4 meters. But if you are hunting bigger and slower moving fishes like AJ this will not be problem. I think it will work perfect with my single short 19mm primeline band if i don't like double 16mm setup. But i will use it with this setup for quite some time to get used to gun. Its very hard to decide after only one time usage.
