pains in the chest

last week i was doing tables every second day, i started getting strong pains around the top of my rib cage, just below the sternum, as if they were bruised, i stopped doing the tables this week and the pains have gone. i dont want to stop training, but is there any way of getting around it?

has anyone else experienced it?
