Re: Polespear grip modification - easy to grab/hold

The best pole spear grip/wrap I have used is the one I use on my pole spears that I build. You can see an example of it if you click on the link below my name. I use tuna cord and wrap it around the spear in a spiral with around a 1 1/2" spacing between the cord.
I Use a piece of tape to temporarily hold the cord so it will stay put.
I use amalgamating tape (self sealing, self fusing tape) to make the grip. I make two complete wraps for the grip. Amalgamatin tape doesn't have an adhesive and will need to be streched while wrapping to fuse to it's self.
You can get amalgamating tape at Home Depot. Tune cord can be replaced with any cord or rope.
