No real need to change from the Excalibur, IMHO.
However, between Gabbiano 77 and XXV Gold82, I've had them both and loved them both: first class spearguns but they are really two different guns.
The Gabby is big and sturdy, with lots of metal parts, more solid and more accurate. Downside: with a reel, the Gabby 77 becomes negatively buoyant (doesn't float with reel mounted)
The XXV gold is slim and light, more hi-tech, very quick and manouverable. Downside: the 82cm feels a bit muzzle-heavy and is more vulnerable to scratches.
Hope this helps Tommy.
