Interesting, I thought the clip was just to hold it before you caught your first fish. Is the pin too short to hold the fish if it is not clipped back in? I guess it would help stop you spiking yourself.
I think I might give a belt stringer a try. I've noticed that the fish are definitely interested in strung fish. I had a bass come in Friday & was surprised at how quick it swam off as I wasn't looking direclty at it. In hindsight, I reckon it was looking above me at the fish on my float stringer -- so when it saw me it was a complete surprise rather than the usual gradual realisation. It was also quite clear -- having fish on you would also break up your outline in a way that would tend to attract curious fish.
Does the Marco B. stringer offer any significant advantage over others or the home-made ones recently discussed on the Guernsey thread?
