In Florida, you can get away with a lot. The right Oneil will work fine. However, compared to an open cell suit designed for freediving, they are not even close. Your suit works fine for surfing, but if you are completely immersed and not exercising much, ie freediving, it may get cold quick. For example, at 73 degrees,I freeze freediving in my 3/2 surf suit, with a hood vest, extra pants, gloves and booties. A 3 mil Elios, gloves and booties, is comfy in the same water for almost 3 hours. In contrast, I can body surf in the 3/2 with hood in 60 degree water and be just fine for hours.

Good to hear you arn't sick. i'm leaving tomarrow to go for a trip to north carolina until the 24th but when i get back i'll be sure to get in touch with you and thanks for the help on the wetsuit post i left you rep power hope it helps. but i am cureous what wetsuit would you recomend for a guy on a budget...i kind of lost the oneal a while back.
