I am probably one of the few freedivers who has not gone for an Elios suit (didn't have the time to wait for it). My first wetsuit was a 5mm Marea (nylon outside, plush inside), and now I am using Teknodiver suits (sponsorship). I am quite happy with both the 3mm (smoothskin outside, metallic inner lining) and 5mm (nylon outside, metallic inner lining).
If you go for a summer suit from Elios, you should order now, because you will have to waaaait. It is so hyped, and everyone is beginning to think about new suits for the summer plus the world championships in September. Marea was faster than Elios when I ordered in May 2006, took about 5 weeks, and arrived just the evening before I needed it, so be sure to put in a buffer when you tell them the date you need it for. I put in some buffer days but the transport to Denmark was slower than predicted. Teknodiver has delivered to us within 3 weeks from the order, but I couldn't say if it will be much slower when shipping overseas. They are worth checking out, if you have not already done so.
