Just a subjective observation from the world championships in 2007 (constant weight)

About 90% class fiber, an odd carbon fin here or there.

Conclusion? If there is a difference, it cannot be significant enough to warrant loosing sleep over. Just find one that is the correct size, angle, stiffness and price. If it happens to be carbon, it certainly doesn't hurt, but don't shun on excellent fins that are not.
