Densities (kg/dm2)

Water: 1.0
Carbon fibre: 1.7
Aluminium: 2.7
Steel: ~7.9 (depends on the type)

Carbon fibre is stronger for a given thickness than Aluminium. Care to suggest something that beats CF in density/strength measurements?
