I can fit into a standard size Picasso 54 without a problem and my old Cressi suit fit pretty darn well too. My old Esclapez had a nice fitting jacket, but the pants were way too big around.
I prefer custom just because of the severe nature of the water temps we dive in. Having said that, all custom suits are NOT the same- Elios good and Diveskin bad, very bad.
I also like custom because I can get them with high waisted pants right away and have nothing to cut off.
