Water without surf is sometimes like a bath without a fart in it. Sure it's satisying, but very static and you just know there's something missing. 
Mind you, I did grow up in the surf, nothing like body surfing cyclonic shorebreaks!

Victory in games over underwater racers!
here's a photo from my dive week on catalina with the Dept. of Fish and game. We ran all sorts of drills and I am happy to report the
girls won the search and rescue race even though we were forced to start late and use analog equipment against the guys who had fancy technology, got a head start and went UW.
