We all know that the Blue Hole in Dahab becomes more and more busy, and often it is rather difficult to even find place enough for a duck dive in the crowd.
Our British freediving friends, tired by the combats accessing the depth, recognized it as an excellent business opportunity, and decided creating their own Hole in Egypt. The digging started today 80km south of Suez. Unfortunately the attempt for an accelerated excavation with the help of a nuclear explosion failed. It remains uncleared whether there will be another attempt soon:

I suspect our Papa Smurf Stephan Whelan and other guys organizing the freediving courses at the Submarine Escape Training Tank (S.E.T.T.) are behind the plan to dig the new hole.
