Agreed. I try to only buy gear from people that I know use the gear, and have used lots of other gear to be able to get to a point where they have a belief in the product they're selling, then back the product with decent warranties and service. Flogging entry-level junk to first-timers can make a guy a lot of money if the seller can sleep at night when all the unhappy customers want their gear repaired or their money back.
The question about guns built in China speaks for itself.
I'd say do some personal research- buy 10 different guns and try them (if you are a spearo), but the obvious answer is that the cheapest product available will be among the worst and least reliable out there.
