Anyway, the subject of this thread is wrong. It is known that sperm whales perform variable weight, not CWT. The "sperm" or oily substance in their heads solidifies in the cold water and drags them down (yes 3000m, not feet). At depth, they are able to warm it up by forcing blood circulation around it, hence it liquifies again and helps them with an uplift. Perhaps Herbert is studying something similar for his next 1000ft attempt?:-)
