There is a boogy board for photographers. It's little wider then a regular one. I thing I will try to get one not as expensive and laminate it so it's more durable.
Yes, the gas is an big issue these days. My car gets about 21 mpg and it still hurts.
I live in Hollywood so I do not know where are you located, but carpooling from here or we can meet half way somewhere is a possibility as well.
