Despite visiting London regularly since the first time over 35+ years ago. I never managed to get to Billingsgate fish market. This was compounded by them closing the original one down and resiting it. I actually visited the old site as marked on my out of date map - no one tells me anything.

I didn't know where the "new" Billingsgate market was until I saw it while staying south of the river one weekend last Christmas. Had passed it just by Canary Wharf when travelling to see the Tutankhamun exhibition. It looked impresive as I cruised by on the DLR and if it's as neat as Canary Wharf centre then should be worth seeing. Got it on my list of must visit next time I cross the water.
