Re: Need Help Big time on breath holding.....plz help

Hi, i'm quite new to this stuff myself but i have been training for about 9mths now. Some advice

1. make sure someone else is with you
2. Take three or four really deep breaths
3. Breath out as much air as possible and empty out your lungs completly
4. Take a big inhalation fill your diapham up (belly will expand) first then your upper chest (chest will expand)
5. Lay face down in the water with your hands on the side
6. Do not look at your watch
7. Go through a process in your mind (i usually imagine someone massaging me from the tip of my toes to my head)
8. When you feel the first contraction (dont worry this is only CO2 building up, not a lack of Oxygen) go for about 10 of these contactions.
9. Come up and stop your watch, take some quick breaths to recover and tell your buddy your o.k.
10. Repeat again 2-3mins after, when you breath up before a breath hold just relax and breath as you would if you were watching TV.

Do this at least three times only going to 10 contractions at a time, the first contaction will start later and later.

To build up your tolerance level to CO2 try and beat the contactions you go through so after doing 10 contactions do 15 or 20.

I can get up to about 60 of these...

Please please please ensure someone else is with you though...

Give me a shout and let me know how you get on.

Regards
Chris
