Smile Re: Sardinia spearfishing

Heya, Sorry I haven't posted for so long. I went to Sardinia at the beginning of May...wow what a beautiful place! Baking sunshine all week which apparently is unusual then, as Calinitalia said, the water was a bit cold for the fish.
We were staying in Maristella, Porte Conte – a protected zone, so the hire car was invaluable. We spent most of the week hopping round the bays to the North.

We found some fairly decent sized fish off the rocks at Porticciolo. We drove south to Bosa hoping to find bays along the way but it was mostly steep cliffs. At one point I was perch high on a cliff face with a makeshift sun shelter of towels and t-shirts and my boyfriend had to climb down to go spearing!

Other sites said that previous years there had been huge numbers of jellyfish but we I didn't see even one.

When I've got a bit of time I'll post some useful photos.

Thanks for all your help/advice before I went.
