You might want to hold on to that stop watch. It'll come in handy in training. Like doing tables in the water.
What you can do everyday is to stretch. Stretch your muscles; hamstrings, thighs, abs, back, lung, diaphragm etc. Not only does it feel good, it also loosens you up. If I remember correctly loose muscles consume less oxygen, or something. What ever the case, it's beneficial.
