Thanks Salibandy, Yes i have found that a real good stretch has help loads, i ususally go through 20mins or so of basic yoga stretching then hit the pool i find it really losens me up.
I do have a watch but i leave it on the side when i do my statics that way i listen to my body and not the stopwatch. I do use it when i do tables though which i've just started doing.
Thanks the neck weight really helped last night i did a new PB.....
