Porridge sounds interesting. I used to eat Weetabix but cannot recommend it as I would often get sea sick in a swell. I think milk might be a problem. Recently I've been making a
small cooked breakfast before diving,
bacon & egg - although often I don't feel like it, it seems to help & I don't get hungry in the water. I did get suddenly sea sick once recently when I had to swim hard against the current, in a swell coming in; somebody had stuck a large Jordon's granola bag in my hand shortly before diving, which probably did more harm than good.
Also, suggest going to the bathroom before you dive - to avoid having to finish the swim early & in a hurry
