Re: Cape Town South Africa

Went for a dive on saturday morning.....got up at 6am!!!!!!!! haha...anyway....went through to false bay to see if the water was good enough for a dive....we drove to smits...took a walk down....then walked along the beach towards partridge point.......and walked....and walked...and walked! finally found a good spot to get in.....and went for it....water was warmish....not crystal...but could see the bottom from the top in about 10 metres of water....although it was a little murky....
the second we jumped in some nice size galjoen got a fright and swam off....but the whole dive we were seeing hotties, wildeperd, galjoen, dassies........didnt dive too long or too far out as it wasnt my ideal viz..so didnt get to see any roman or anything as tasty ended up leaving with a jutjaw and another species of fish which tasted great on the braai.....the shellfish was also great..battered and fried
cheers

Hey Reece!!, long time no hear. That definately does not count me out for the cray season! You'll have to pm me your number cos my phone was stolen so I lost everybodies no's. I'm probally gonna take my leave when they are born and then I'll be off the whole of december, up until the sixteenth i will be at home with my wife, so might not be able to dive much then but after the 16th I will probally be staying in Fish Hoek with the inlaws which means i can dive everyday , also up until they are born I've still got my mondays off

All my buddies please pm me your numbers (phone was stolen) cheers

Awesome man! Ja it's been a while, but managed to get back in the water this weekend for the first time so thought I'd poke my head back in forums. My company closes on the 15th so I'll be seeing you in the water from then mate! Not so sure about false bay though...how much are shields going for these days?

Re: Cape Town South Africa

Awesome weekend folks - red tide in Elands, but ended up on a private farm 25km's north of Lamberts...tons of bugs cooked right on the beach as they were brought out viz was a bit poor for spotting fish but the crays made up for it

Water on the atlantic seaboard side looked super super clean yesterday afternoon..anyone feel like doing Bantry bay while it lasts?
