fishing in Panama and Persian Gulf

I am Planning to be in Iran in November on the Kish Island and in the Gulf of Chiriqui in Panama in January. Does any one know any thing about the fish species, locations and appropriate gear for either of these two places?

110 cm euro gun will do ya well. a 5mm wetsuit is norm for winter spearing in the ARABIAN gulf. grouper, macks, trevally galore especially around this time of the year.

I am looking forward to going to the PERSIAN gulf.
I have info about fishing from the UAE side but not so sure about the terrain and fish from the Iran side.

Mani the western side of the Gulf refers to it as ARABIAN, while obviously in Iran it is refered to as PERSIAN. make sure you keep this in mind for some of the people from the khaleej (gulf) will get offended if you mix this up. I suggest that you take along shaft and wishbones, mask straps, and everything you will need in terms of gear or risk paying higher prices than what you normally would in the US.

I am panamenian and I spear dive, I know the islands in the gulf of chiriqui in panama, I have been there many times, yo can locate me to my email in panama to guide you.

If you come, you will be more than satisfied because the marine life is so abundant you wont believe your eyes, huge amberjacks, broomtails groupers, cubera snappers, tuna, etc, etc.
