monster oysters

Just thought I'd share these pics. of some oysters I snared of the rocks near where I live. Had no knife so I spent about 5 mins. trying to pry each one off the rocks like a gorilla. These are the only oysters in japan to be harvested in summer. my hands measure about 17 cm from fingers to wrist Fresh fish and oysters for dinner. fantastic.

Those look about the same width as european flats, they do look a wee bit chunkier tho.
Do You chug em down raw?

Raw with a dash of lemon juice and a dash of soy sauce. great. they are very chunky

Can't believe I never thought of adding soy sauce
I usually just have a dash of lemon or bake em with cheese and my favourite green herbs on top.
