Sorry there my fellow acronymer. Relocated to the Santa Cruz area and am enjoying a break from school. Time flies, eh?
Especially when away from parties and tequila...

The effervescence quite underwhelms inured liquor aficionados.

Hey Adrian! Glad to see you found your way back to our little ... uhhhh ..... whatever.... psychosis?

Oh Yes! It is good to be back!

Oh, and just to make you all jealous I just booked 2 weeks in the Maldives at Summer Island Village for the 2nd and 3rd week of December, got my wet suit in (3mm Mares Tropic Air) and am waiting on the rest of the gear I ordered..... (ScubaPro Mk16/S550/R190 setup, UWATEC Aladin Nitrox Pro with PC interface, and a few other toys)..... Now I just have to wait until December!

Well, that and get my written Thesis finished and submitted

Anyone know anything about a Suunto wrist compass supposedly model M-9? I can't find anything about it and on the Suunto Web Site, an M-9 is a Sailing computer, NOT a diving compass. I just got one off of E-Bay for €16 and change so I am wondering if I have a real dive compass or if it will be one for hiking.....

Can't help you there, buddy. I know only the Mosquito, Stinger, and perhaps a few more. Can't think of them right now, though. M-9 sounds like some kind of rifle. You can imagine my reluctance to display my ignorance....

Remind everyone; lakes underwater conceal tires and nuisances corroded evenly.

At least half of my classes are online. Good deal. Have fun with the thesis.

I did my ENTIRE Masters on-line through Regis University in Denver. I thought that the on-line class was really great, especially for me. The thing is that you really have to have self-discipline to get the course work done by the deadlines. That is the problem with the whole Thesis thing for me, the deadlines are waaaaaayyyy off in the distance (no real time crunch) so the motivation is lacking. However, my mom and Granmother are making real nuisances out of themselves by asking when I will finish...

Not Understanding It's Stressful And Nerve-wracking, Combatting Educational Stasis.

As for the compass thing, I forgot to look at home again last night. The Suunto web site REQUIRES Macromedia Flash 7 updates and I don't have sufficient rights on my work PC to install that..... There is no way past the home screen if you don't have the right Flash version - REALLY Poor Web Site design if you ask me..... but the pictures that the person had posted were of a compass and NOT a sailing computer...... Oh well, like I said, if it isn't dive-capable, I can always use it for hiking in Austria. After all, for 16 Euros, it wasn't a bad deal.....

I did manage to snipe someone on E-Bay last night and score a set of ScubaPro Veloce fins with a Liberator mask and Snokel (which I really don't care so much about) for 33 Euros. The fins were what I was after since my old flippers are about ready for the rubbish bin being nearly 20 years old and a bit brittle.

Good deal. I know what you mean about the deadlines. The only class I need is online, and I am not quite sure about how things are supposed to be turned in. The thing is, there's a lot of group work involved, which is difficult to manage when the people aren't physically there. I'm a bit concerned about that. But I got a B in my online enhanced course, so it shouldn't be too bad. At the moment, I'm combatting educational stasis, all right. It's all so ho-hum...
