that photo is of an eagle ray... i wonder if it really was an eagle ray that stung that guy as it seems a little weird? I thought Eagle rays didn't have a sting, or it's not so obvious like the other rays.
We used to see eagle rays breaching quite a bit in maldives, but they never did it close to humans. Quite a freak accident... EDIT: Just found a picture, very small sting though , that old man was unlucky!
