I was just looking at CNN.com and thought of the DB members there as well. Oceanswimmer, another DB member lives in San Diego too. Hope you are all out of the danger zone.

I hope everyone is out of the way of the fire storm's path. Its crazy out here. I had to move out of our beach house because the air is brown with smoke and full of ash, but thankfully our house is safe. I hope others are as lucky. Best wishes to everyone. Last i have heard 500,000 people have had to relocate and over 1,000 homes and structures have burned, sorrowfully there has been one fatality.

I saw that Oldsarge has been online for a while yesterday, and Bill McIntyre was posting on Spearboard, so these two friends at least are supposed to be safe enough to bother with forums...

Fires are gone from here. We were never in danger this year. Thank You all for your concern. I'm hoping and praying that the others (Sarge, Bill McIntyre, Science Mike, GonetoBaja, etc. are all OK as well). I know that San Diego is still burning...
