Re: Dyslexic?

I poked around their pages quite a bit, it seems absolutely amazing. We use stereo-glasses to look at the scenes in 3d. A lab down the hall uses a rapid polymer prototype machine to recreate molecules in 3d. But those systems Bangor uses are far better than ours, quite incredible looking.

Re: Dyslexic?

Bangor is pretty fortunate having assembled some brilliant people into the informatics department (as was). It's reputation with graphics is amongst the best in the UK and has had some serious investment of late. Did you see the spiders? Simply awesome! They are part of artificial life research project that was under way when I was there.

Unfortunately they closed the maths department down two years ago due to a lack of students

We recently set up our holodeck, as we call it, a room with a 3D-Projector for presentations. Big fun! Too bad I haven't taken the time to go do some doom3 on that one!

Re: Dyslexic?

Couldn't find a demonstration in the page you linked, where haven't I looked?

Here's another cute 3D thing called 'total immersion' (gotta love the name) - Total Immersion | Augmented Reality
They're making realtime camera motion capture and adding 3D elements in realtime. Think of a paintball game, for example, in which you're wearing LCD goggles (available soon) and you're having all these insane creatures and stuff implemented into your REAL field of view in realtime...
