London meet-up Thursday, 31. Jan or Friday. 1. Feb

Hey Londoners,

I'll be in London next week and will have most of Thursday and Friday (31. Jan / 1. Feb respectively) for myself.

Not sure what I'll do, but I figure we might as well meet up for, say, a pint or such.

Sound good? Who's in?

Yep i'd be in. Friday night would be my preference, should be able to make it to most places around London. I'll have a think about locations.

Yeah, but I set the date shortly after OZ-day on purpose. Now his innards should™ hopefully be too sore to carry him far this time.

OK folks - any preference on venue and time?

What about the Fire Station at Waterloo or the Pitcher and Piano Trafalgar

Both near other establishments if we want to move/stagger on.

Or - if you don't mind freezing outside for a bit one of the best pubs i've ever frequented (and did so every friday for many years) was The Toucan in Soho. It's tiny but got character and excellent Guinness.

Unfortunately i've gone and double booked myself with a housewarming party (that'll teach me to committing to something before consulting the wife), so i'll try and get out of it. May take some delicate footwork...

Do all of You have a life in the daylight hours? If so, I'll be roaming the town with no guidance at all and might get lost - if any of You want to meet during the day, ...

Depends on what i'm down to do on my "day job". I certainly should be able to get out early as i'll be working from home but probably best to plan for 18:00 @ the Toucan.

I can suggest a few things to do during the day if you're interested (that don't involve drinking before you worry!)
