And to think, we spent four winters in Winnipeg and it never got to 40 below. Not once. On the big island, this is the coldest water in eight years and the coldest winter that anyone can remember. Global warming is selective I guess. The last time gas prices doubled rapidly (early 70s) they told us there was a new ice age coming.

This will surely put things in prespective when I will complain about the last few 'extremely' cold night of 5-8 Celcius nights here!

Sara, loved the willy warmer offer.

Re: 'Nuff said....

ewwwwww thats awfull. It reminds me of all the news on TV lately about the hurricanes that America is experiencing, the typhoons in China and recent mud slides in South America, we shouldn't forget that the UK has its share of devastating weather too. Attached is a photo illustrating the damage caused to my friend's home in MK from the storm that passed through last week.

It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.

Take care of yourself and be safe.

ps. Its got that bad that I have to go back to Grand Cayman tomorrow morning for a few weeks!

Heehee. Actually I prefer -40C to +40C anyday! When I was in Bahrain it was 50C one day and I thought my skull would catch fire

Hah, I'm always one for heat. The hotter the better. Some of my best times were in Thailand (35+°C/100% humidity), Jamaica (30+°C), Oman, Egypt, Death valley (55°C/~0%). I just love to be cooked.

...

uhm, wait.

Why am I moving to England, then?

Re: 'Nuff said....

Erik,

Whatever you had was just sent our way last night.

I woke up yesterday and it was 45F and calm. by the end of the day the temps dropped and the winds picked up. This morning it's a whopping -8F and a sunny -25F with the windchill factored in.

We're used to cold around here but a 60+ degree temperature drop in a single day is a little hard for me to get used to.

Come on Spring!

Jon
