"Ticket now on sale The Parlotones are due to release their South African SAMA winning album Radiocontrolledrobot in April in the UK and to mark the occasion they will be returning to England and Scotland for a follow up tour of their January tour which saw the band enjoy their first sold out shows. The band will also be including Switzerland and Germany as well as South Africa in the tour itinerary. The bands first stop when they leave for the two month tour will be Switzerland where they have been invited to perform at the Bscene 2008 Festival. The BScene Festival is the biggest indoor music festival in Switzerland with over 50 bands performing in 8 different venues. After having sell-out crowds for the past 11 years, the 12th Annual BScene Festival is expected to draw more than 5,500 people. The Parlotones will then be travelling on to Germany which will see them performing five shows, three of which will be opening for the hugely successful UK band The Wombats during their sold out shows in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. Following their NME cover recently The Wombats have steadily been building a media storm around them and are currently enjoying a huge amount of success in the UK. German fans will also be able to catch The Parlotones on the Motor FM sessions at the White Trash Fast Foods, one of Germanys hottest nightclubs in Berlin. The performance forms part of the Motor FM showcase of their favourite new bands. Motor FM is Germanys largest indie rock radio station and The Parlotones have already enjoyed A list airplay on the station with their single Overexposed. Following Germany, the band will be performing 11 shows in the UK, one of which being at the 100 club, a highlight of the bands tour. A land mark club in England, the 100 club has seen the likes of Jimmy Hendrix and The Sex Pistols raging up its stage. Two of the shows in the UK will see The Parlotones open for multi platinum selling Ocean Colour Scene another hugely successful band in the UK who were publicly praised by Oasiss Noel Gallagher for Keeping the rock n roll flame burning during the 90s The tour marks the next level for The Parlotones in the UK.
