new "gamefish" species found!

Wow, I just stumbled over this:
A guy goes fishing 1.5 miles off the coast and catches this:

Re: new "gamefish" species found!

Has alot more meat on it than a fish!

MMmmmmm...Venison on the grill!

Here in Wisconsin they (deer) cross big lakes all of the time...I suppose it's alot faster than "walking" around them! Unfortunately they also sometimes fall through the ice during winter...Up here, we can count on seeing atleast a few of these rescues on the evening news every year.

Deer are also seen on occasion crossing the "Ol' Muddy" mighty Mississippi river...Deep water and LOTS of current. But they do it no problem and without hesitation. Good swimmers actually!

It's a little known secret but "the islands" on the Mississsipppi are great places to hunt deer...That is AFTER opening day of the Gun Deer season...

They "get smart" and head off to "the islands" once they see or feel too much human pressure.
