ah... crap!: poor workman blames his tools!
I have a a couple of skin suits (Arena & no-name brand) and wetsuits (0.5mm, 1.5mm, 3mm) and sure, I wouldn't like to freedive with some of them on the account of the drag, but between the good ones, the difference is marginal at best. I saw the new Mares Instinct "Gianluca Genoni" 3mm on display at the ADEX 2008 dive show in Singapore... nice and slippery around shoulders and chest, would probably be great for freediving, but sadly, no stock...
