Scarlett brought her parents over from grampa's pizza on the 4th of July. Here she examines grampa's shell collection and dances to patriotic music.

Bill, your granddaughter is darling.
You have really strange music.

Yes, that was indeed strange music. My wife tuned the digital radio to a station that does "Sounds of the Season" so as to get some appropriate July 4 music. The had the usual Sousa marches, Battle Hymn of the Republic, etc. and then some like that that I had never heard (and for good reason). I guess it must have been something played during WWII.

We shall see when I'll have a grandaughter, Bill (but yours is cute indeed). I have just a 3 years old daughter so far. She says she's in love with Diego and that she'll marry him soon...things will progress pretty quickly.
I still remember my own 4th of July celebrations with my american (military) neighbours in the 70's when I wasn't much bigger than Scarlett (and yes, she's cuter than I was at that time). Americans were nice people to live with when I was a kid: their children had incredible toys in the 70's. Fruit jelly and Dr. Pepper were my passion.
