Hi,
One more newbie here. This thread is great, thank you all very much for your contributions. I live in Singapore and cant seem to find any freediving courses in SE Asia. Anyone knows anything? My only info access then is through websites like this, and i just bought "Manual of Freediving". Would be great if someone could direct me to a course somewhere in Asia. |

welcome on this forum, relatively small but very helpful community! Take your time to read as many threads as your time allows, it will give you a wealth of information and sometimes different perspectives on the same issue, so you can choose what suits you best. I refer here to the Manual of Freediving, which i own as well, a great (and only) manual as such for the time being. Some of the techniques presented there may differ from other "schools of thoughts" you may find here. About courses in SE Asia, i know of only one. Check out http://www.freedivecentral.com/cours...in-thailand-25freedive training available one is in Thailand - a short (and cheap) AsiaAir flight for you no affiliation with them, also i did not take the course but if they are on freedivecentral, it should be good. Good luck and let us know if you got what you wanted. Serge |

Serge, thanks so much!
I've looked at that website and seems just what I need to start my training. I've emailed them. It's cheap and easy to fly to Krabi from Singapore. Can't wait! |

Hi,
I started doing the table recently. I tried using one of the softwares on the website but i still have a few queries : 02 tables: 1) During the resting period of 2 mins, am i suppose to breathe normally? Deep breathes? or what? 2) I start first set of breathe at 15 sec and last set at 2mins. Is the last set suppose to be relatively difficult? When do i know I'm ready to increase all my sets by 15 sec? 3) What is breathe up? 4) How many times can I do each set of table a day? Any limit? |

Thanks Biotronix!
I find there's quite a big disparity between my personal best and regular best. I can normally do about 2min without much prepping. But if I push it and slow my hearbeat etc, 3:30. I take it then I should base my 80% on 2 min? |

Serge,
I've never been to Koh Tao but it sounds divine. The pictures on Apnea Total website are great too. Go check out the video of freedivers with mantas. Ad |

on your PB, if you did already a 3.30min that's your mark. Do tables up to 2.45 min or 2.30min Also, i suggest that you do tables only 3-4 days per week, not every day - this way you avoid overdoing it. And one question you did not get the answer, breath up means just that....to breath in preparation for apnea - normally a slow inhale, short pause and even longer exhale (make it 6 inhole, 2-4 pause, 10-12 exhale). serge |

Did my first C02 table today. Questions :
I did breahte hold 1:30, and reducing rest time to 30secs. I find that relatively easy, even to the last set. No contractions. I read somewhere that if so, it's not really training my limits. Should I increase breathehold to 1:45 and reduce rest time to 15sec in last set pls? Serge, not heard from the guys at Koh Tao. Got tickets to Samui this weekend, cant wait to go. Cheers! Ad |
