Re: F.I.T. vs. Performance Freediving

Back during the war we used kool-aide enemas to rid ourselves of nematodes.
It was awesome.

Was that the Civil War of Michigan where the U.P. seperated from the mitten?

You know your history, laddy. Remember when the canadians tried to sabotage the soo locks with maple syrup? carp were actually knocking cars off the bridge. Had some awesome wet T-shirt contests though.

You have to give those Yoopers some credit- when they decide to seperate they really mean it!

Re: F.I.T. vs. Performance Freediving

Then there was the great toilet paper boycott of '67 - they were going to boycott everything shipped through the lower peninsula but Wisconsin and Canadia couldn't keep up with the beer so they just quit using Toilet paper.
I know it had something to do with project ELF (or was it ALF?) Anyway, definite negative effect on tourism.

Re: F.I.T. vs. Performance Freediving

Not to get this topic back on track or anything, but I've posted on my blog about PFI's Intermediate and Advanced courses. My only experience with DiveFIT had been that I signed up for their intermediate course in Malibu last year, which was canceled with a month's warning because not enough people paid their deposit. Kirk, Mandy and Craig at PFI were wonderful to train with; I achieved my goals and then some, and am now thoroughly addicted to the sport. 5:45 static, 42m constant; woohoo!

Excellent! Congrats on reaching your goals! Feels great to become a freediving addict, eh?

I second that Ben ,I'm still floating on the goal reaching high all our class had in Kona.I'm looking forward to getting back to raise my personal bests again.Still a few spots left for those seeking to celebrate Thanksgiving early, and if this trip goes like the last I'll truly have another thing to be thankful for.Great job on the blog!! Re: F.I.T. vs. Performance Freediving

Ben
Enjoyed the blog. Sure wish that PFI would have a day off in the middle so the poor locals could spend some time with the Deeperbluers. All these divers come to visit and they're kept so busy. I actually took the course last Nov but most days I could barely drag my old butt home and collapse.

Re: F.I.T. vs. Performance Freediving

Well, I think both of these programs are very good, either way your going to walk away with lots of new knowledge. For me because i live in south florida FIT is ideal for me, I am a big fan of Martin, I enjoy his philosophy.
I am actually tring to get money together to take this course.
