Pool Practice

I am new to free diving and I am being taught by batray in a diving pool. I have come along way as far as holding my breath and just general swimming. The last swim we did was starting to get a little redundant ... I can swim any length of the pool even corner to corner and I am running out of things to do. I know I need to get in open water. Any Ideas for fun or even good practice?

Re: Pool Practice

There are plenty of exercises available here on DB (check the sticky threads or use the search function), in books (especially the one by Pelizzari), or on diverse websites (try for example the dynamic exercises in Apnea Training Manager, or check out the links shown here: exercises @ APNEA.cz)

However, the best is joining a club, taking a course, and/or finding an experienced buddy to train with. If you are going on with training alone, and pushing the limits, you will almost unavoidable black out or get a serious samba sooner or later. And if there is no-one experienced surveying you closely, you may not get out of the pool living anymore.
