i've been reading alot about diving without your lungs full of air. what are the benifits of it.

You mean FRC diving?
If thats what you mean then enter "FRC" into the serch function of the forums.
And if i rember right FRC is done whit about 40-75% of youre lung capacity.
But im just a noob so i sugesst you find some other tread and look ther for better answers on the benefits on FRC diving.
