Bubbling or not?

You probably won't remember an old member here called Alison but she used to coax lobsters out of a hole with a torch. It was one with a variable strength beam, she apparently used to move it in circles and slowly reduce the beam so it looked like it was moving away. Then the lobsters just came out to see where it had gone Awesome!!

If I remember rightly she thought it up herself but it was a long time ago now and my memory has faded some since then

i believe the bubbling may be for other reasons in the seals case (other than attracting fish) fine buoyancy control, lung issues, comfort?
