Hi! I just moved to St. Croix where I am living on a great snorkel beach. I go out every morning and try and freedive to depths of about 20 feet. I don't know much about freediving, however, I am nuetralizing the pressure constantly during my descent.
Does anyone have any advice on how to improve the longevity of my breaths and the depth that I can reach? I have very strong lungs and can hold my breath for awhile, and I also am very willing to take risks. I want to improve as I will be living here for awhile. Help! Thanks |

Hi JBIRD1111 and welcome to DB,
You will find a lot of advice to improve your overall freediving ability on this forum. Just use the search function and you will spend hours reading. I'm just a beginner but the only advice I can give is to never, ever dive alone, even if you are willing to take risks... don't take the one diving without a buddy. Have fun and stay safe. |

Hey J BIRD,Which side of the island are you on? On the Fredricksted side dive the pier, and the Hess Rifinery. On the Christiansted side, there is a barrier reef right in front of the low income housing project.
